No issues with compatibility, I double checked the voltage and other associated information before buying this upgrade in capacity for a customer. Functioning well in the laptop they were installed in and passed multiple tests to verify compatibility.
Cons: See other thoughts. No cons since it works even better than expected. Other Thoughts: What I found interesting was that these were purchased as 2 x 8 GB modules and labeled as such. However, after installation and testing I verified that these were actually 2 x 16 GB modules (Windows, BIOS and the memory tests all confirmed this). Very interesting that this would happen and I wouldn't count on this happening often if at all to others or myself again.
Pros: - No compatibility issues noticed - Stated speeds are reported - 'Straight forward' packaging Cons: - None encountered Other Thoughts: - System has been on 10.12.5-6 during the 45 days - The iMac 'cover' for the memory was a complete pain to work with. It took a lot more force on the button than I felt should've been necessary to get it to release. I inserted these modules along side the existing pair of 8GB sticks, in the available slots. My set identify themselves as Manufacturer: 0x859B and Part Number: 0x313630422E4D3136 - DDR3 memory prices have risen since Q3/Q4 of 2016, glad to have the maximum supported memory in the system before prices continue to rise or availability completely drops off.

Nope, This is 1600MHz ram, which is good for Mid-2012 Macbook Pros and onward. You need 1300MHz DDR3, PC3-10600 Pick up a SSD while you're there, the 16GB ram (from 4GB) and the SSD has made it feel like a brand new machine, Premier Pro no longer freezes and lags at all, from being barely usable. I upgraded an Early 2011 MBP with a $99 Patriot 2x8GB kit yesterday from MSY, I needed it fast (such a typical Mac user, at least I didn't pay 4 times the price, while wearing a scarf and leather elbow patches) so I don't feel bad for missing this deal. Check your 'About This Mac' for your serial number, and you can look it up on Everymac.com and other sites like it to double check what you need exactly, I have done it for you but do it again just in case: don't trust some guy on the internet.
